William (Bill) D. Green is the Chairman of Accenture, a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company. He represents Accenture with clients around the world and with business and government leaders.
Green served as Accenture's CEO from September 2004 through December 2010. He assumed the additional role as Chairman in 2006. During his term, Accenture grew revenue from US$13.7 billion to US$21.6 billion, doubled its workforce to 211,000 employees and expanded its global footprint.
Green represents Accenture in a number of external venues, including the Initiative for Global Development, the Business Council, the International Business Council of the World Economic Forum and the G100®. He is deeply involved in many business groups supporting education in the United States and around the world, including the Business Coalition for Student Achievement, where he serves as co-chair. He also is a frequent speaker at business, technology and academic forums worldwide.
Green joined Accenture in 1977 and became a partner in 1986. He attended Dean College and is a member of its Board of Trustees. He has a B.S. in economics and an M.B.A. from Babson College, as well as an honorary doctor of laws.
